I had a lovely evening last night at The Mall Galleries in London for the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year Awards 2015. This image was in the final seven in the Apple A Day category where the brief was to do something unusual with a Pink Lady apple. Although I did not win the prize, I am delighted to say that I gained a Highly Commended and my image will be on the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year website for the next 12 months in the finalist gallery and may be used in their marketing campaigns.
It was also an amazing experience to see my work being exhibited in a London gallery. I hope those who visit the exhibition really enjoy the excellent standard of images. I am taking my children this weekend so that they can see what Mummy has achieved and maybe also whet their appetite for next year as children can enter too!

Last night was also pretty amazing because I got to meet one of the judges, David Loftus, who is an amazing photographer and has done many books with Jamie Oliver as well as lots of other famous chefs. Take a look at his work for some inspiration by clicking here:
Anyway, I am already on the look out for photo opportunities for next year's competition!
